You can find info on that in the Bear Pit website at the newer address: You should be able to just slap v1.13 over the CD version and it be enough, not even needing 1.07 or 1.12 Gold - but I did it just in case - since they probably already did all that for their Mod, which is why it doesn't require DRM.īut it has been developed also after that, but it may then be harder to do. Then you can just slap v1.13 over that, there is a build plus an update that brings it to build 7609. Then you might also want to slap on the Gold version 1.12 from Matrix Games later Gold version. I got a version off of Gamersgate a while back, and it worked off that.īut you may have to install the 1.07 DRM removal off the original CD version - which is no problem to do - and will get rid of DRM and include all other patches before it for regular classic JA2. I can tell you that it can work also off the Steam version. Or check out the Jagged Alliance 2 Gold Pack forums on Steam which may have something. If you'd like more info on how to install v1.13 check out the Bear Pit and ask there if can't find the thread in searching. Remember also there is a timeline here - and what you do before source code release is also a confusing thing. This should be obvious to anyone who understand the very basics of law, ahem. Originally, the Wildfire Mod was a free mod, but it changed and decided to be for pay, so that created the situation. Nobody wants to see the Wildfire Devs and the guys who created the v1.13 Mod in prison, do we? Or broke. So it wasn't being mean, it was being honest and careful. So allowing that to be in Wildfire - that is available for pay - causes legal issues - so they protected their own butts and those of Wildfire Devs by saying, sorry you can't do that. What happened is that the modders are under certain restrictions - because they have the source code released to the original under that usage - and because they aren't allowed to allow in anyway any money to be made off of that source code.

You can also find out a lot of info at the Bear Pit, which has changed website addresses a while back, about all things Jagged Alliance. Not sure if we are allowed to post the website here, so I'll avoid it. It will run from the CD disk or DVD versions, but you may have to do a few things before-hand, all minor. That is the last so-called Stable version - but it actually is being still developed with more features. Like go to and search for Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13 mod, and you'll find tons of info there.

If you go to a search engine you'll find the website for the Mod.
